Many of the features in ContentTools are now also available using our Places API. 

The API and ContentTools share the same database. Any public content (Trimble MAPS Verified Places) or private content (your Custom Places and details you've added to Verified Places) can be edited or viewed in either the ContentTools web user interface or by using the API. 

The Places API is a RESTful API that requires a premium subscription to the Trimble MAPS web APIs.
